The death has taken place of former county Board treasurer Jim Ferguson.
Jim served as treasurer for 13 years and then went on to hold the same position with Coiste Na nOg.
Jim is survived by his wife Monica who had always been by his side in his role in the GAA and effectively served as joint treasurer, making a formidable team.
Jim’s nephew, Dermot Howlin, is currently Leinster Council Representative for Wexford GAA.
A proud member of Bannow Ballymitty GAA Club Jim will be missed by all GAA people throughout the county. He had a friendly word for everyone as he manned the gate for games at all levels for Wexford GAA. Most winning captains in the county in the past 20 years will have a photograph of being presented with the Cup by a smiling Jim.
