A crowd of hundreds along with a host of dignitaries, including Uachtaran Cumman Lúth-Chleas Gael, Christy Cooney attended the unveiling today of the new life sized statue of Wexford hurling legend, Nickey Rackard.
Also in attendance were dozens of family members, old team mates and friends of the great man.
The statue, by leading English artist, Mark Richards, was commissioned by Wexford Borough Council and is a fitting tribute to one of Wexford’s most famous sons and a legend of the ash!
