CLG Loch Garman is now seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for the role of Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate, reporting to the CEO/Operations Manager will provide efficient and accurate finance and administration support to the CEO/Operations Manager and collaborate with members of the County Executive in the day-to-day running of the organisation.
The role is based in Chadwicks Wexford Park on either a full-time, part-time or contract basis, depending on the candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and efficient administration and accounts support.
- Effective and efficient management of cash transactions, from receipt through to lodgement and invoice through to payment.
- Invoicing and of all income in a timely fashion.
- Manage and operate an effective system of credit control.
- Data entry of Income and Expenditure on to the accounts software systems
- Preparation of bank reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Assist the CEO/Operations Manager with the development and management of budgets ensuring proper governance.
- Assist in the provision of a comprehensive confidential, secretarial and administrative support service for the CEO/Operations Manager and to the County Executive.
- Prepare monthly finance reports to the County Executive and other committees on a regular basis.
- Proactive and flexible in terms of taking on new duties and adaptive to change in current ways of working, in pursuit of efficiencies.
Requirements
- A minimum of two 2 years’ experience in accounts and administration.
- Trainee accountant or accounts qualification preferable.
- Experience with an accounts software package essential, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – Word – PowerPoint).
- Excellent attention to detail and record keeping.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adopt a hands-on approach to getting things done.
- Resilient and capable of dealing with pressurised situations and deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and committed self-starter with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- A passion for Gaelic Games and an understanding of the unique structures of the GAA.
- Knowledge and understanding of Wexford GAA.
