The Ferns St. Aidans club is this year celebrating its 125th anniversary, and to kick off celebrations, there’s a big night in store on Friday April 20 as a commemorative history book and DVD are launched.
The book ‘Ferns St Aidans – The First 125 Years’ runs to 266 pages and includes some 250 photographs, while the DVD ‘From Local Fields to Here and Now‘ features tales and yarns of long-ago matches and life in general from twelve well-known club personalities. It also includes a short comedy film, ‘Historic Hurling‘, made by local children, and overall the DVD runs to approximately 90 minutes.
Both book and DVD retail together for the bargain price of just €20, and they can be ordered through the club website,www.fernsgaa.com
The official launch will take place in The Courtyard in Ferns on Friday April 20, from 8 p.m. onwards, and all are welcome to come along.
