Poker players will have the chance to share in a guaranteed prize fund of an attractive €1,600 in Ferns at the end of the month, thanks to the Players Fundraising Committee of Ferns St Aidans.
A Texas Hold ’Em contest is being held in the function room of The Courtyard there on Sunday December 30, with registration starting at 4.30 p.m. and the first hands due to be dealt around 5 p.m.
Initial entry costs €20, and intending players are asked to note that anybody who buys a ticket in advance will get bonus starting chips on the day.
