GAA/RePlay Resource Developer
Cumann Lúthchleas Gael is Ireland’s leading sporting and cultural organisation with membership approaching one million people and in excess of 500,000 playing participants at all levels. Inspired by its amateur status and supported by the voluntary efforts of all its members, the GAA devotes its entire resources to the development of Gaelic Games and Culture nationally and in local communities.
The Association is currently recruiting for a GAA/RePlay Resource Developer on a 3 year contract. This EU funded project involves the use of cutting edge data capture techniques for generating 3D and/or video renderings of the performance of indigenous sport in Europe. The GAA is a project partner directing the key aspects of Gaelic Games to be included. The successful candidate will assist the GAA Technical Development and Support Manager with the operation of the RePlay Project, which aims to produce a set of detailed 3D multimedia resources to digitally preserve aspects of our Games and to support the education of coaches and players.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assist the GAA Technical Development and Support Manager with the operation of the RePlay Project
• Provide input into the operation and coordination of the project
• Liaise with partners and facilitate their requirements
• Define the skills/aspects of Gaelic games that should be captured, preserved or highlighted
• Support the GAA Technical Development and Support Manager in multi-media resource development for publication on the GAA E-Learning system and various internet based platforms
• Editing and publishing video clips on technical aspects of games/coaching development
• Compiling match day analysis date for research and publication
• Producing PowerPoint and E-Learning documents for publication
• Producing text content to support multi-media publications
• Providing administrative support for the operation of the GAA E-Learning System and the GAA Games Development Information Management System
Skills:
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Excellent administrative and IT Skills are essential
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines; hands-on approach to getting things done
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to build and sustain good relationships
Requirements:
• Experience in the areas of E-Learning and Multi-Media development
• Third Level IT/Multimedia Production and / or Sports Development related qualification is desirable
• Clear and detailed knowledge of the GAA’s structures and rules
• Experience of IT related packages and systems to include Website/content Publication Software, Video Editing Software, E-Learning Software, Google Apps (Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sites), PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word
• Practical experience of producing reports to a high standard
