Wednesday’s match sees first ever Gaelic Games Player Cam in action!
Thomas Barron Shelmaliers taking part in the 2010 Crossbar Challenge in Parnell Park
This Leinster final is making a little bit of history tonight as it is the first ever Gaelic Games match to feature a Player Cam!
The Player Cam is featuring as part of TG4’s live broadcast from Wexford Park and will be in action for the Munster final and All-Ireland series. Indeed, during the All-Ireland series you’ll be able to log on to tg4.tv and watch a full live stream of the Player Cam while watching the full match on tv!
Bord Gáis Energy Ambassador Liam Rushe will be the focus of the first ever Player Cam outing and we’ll be able to see the St. Pat’s of Palmerstown man up close and personal as he aims to retain the Leinster U-21 crown with Dublin.
Tonight will also see the anticipated return of the now famous Crossbar Challenge at half time when each player will be asked to test their skills from 21 metres and given three chances to hit the crossbar. If any player succeeds, he will win €500 worth of gear for his club so keep an eye out for the competition once the whistle blows. Last year, the winner was James Ryan of Craobh Chiaráin in Dublin- will a Wexford player take the prize this year?
