This weekend has been the target for all clubs over the last seven weeks of games. On Saturday, we welcome Ballyhogue and Clongeen to O’Kennedy Park at 2pm for the Permanent TSB JAHC Final. Following this on Saturday, we host Horeswood and Liam Mellows in Chadwicks Wexford Park at 4:30pm in the Joyces Expert Wexford IAHC Final followed by the Courtyard Ferns IHC Final between Oulart-The Ballagh and Taghmon-Camross. These games will be broadcast live on Wexford GAA TV. We also will honour the Oulart-The Ballagh senior winning teams of 1995 and 1997 to mark their jubilee on Saturday in Chadwicks Wexford Park.
In the Pettit’s SHC Final, Ferns St. Aidans play St. Martin’s at 3pm on Sunday – this game will also be broadcast live on Southeast Radio and TG4 with deferred coverage on Wexford GAA TV. This game will be preceded by the Permanent TSB JHC Final between Davidstown-Courtnacuddy and Glynn-Barntown at 1pm and will be broadcast live on Wexford GAA TV.
Large crowds are expected at the games over the weekend. Please arrive early, park responsibly and respect our neighbours.
Ticket Arrangements
Tickets are now on sale at www.wexfordgaa.ie/tickets for all matches at the weekend. OAP tickets for the county finals are available to be purchased from Pettitt’s Supervalu in Wexford, Enniscorthy and Gorey and from Sinnott’s Centra Irishtown in New Ross as well as online from www.wexfordgaa.ie/tickets. Note that it is only OAP tickets that will be sold in shops. Entry to games will be by ticket only – cash will not be accepted at our gates.
Students and OAPs must show a valid ID at the stile with their ticket to gain admission.
U16s will be admitted free of charge once they are accompanied by an adult. They do not require a ticket.
Parking
The usual restrictions will be in place around the ground with parking will be available in the usual spots – Clonard Church, St. Peter’s College and North End United FC.
Disabled Persons
From a parking perspective at Chadwicks Wexford Park, 25 spaces (20% of the car park capacity) are reserved for every fixture for Disabled Person’s Parking Card/Permit (Disability Pass) holders. Application must be made by e-mail to [email protected]. Successful applicants will be requested to produce their Disability Pass upon collection of their Car Pass, and again on the day of the fixture.
Within the wheelchair viewing area at the back of the stand, there is a capacity for eight wheelchairs plus their aide. Application must be made by e-mail to [email protected]. There is additional space for wheelchairs at the front of the stand also.
Weather Advisory
Met Éireann have issued a weather advisory for high temperatures for the weekend with the potential for a yellow high temperature warning being issued (please check https://www.met.ie/warnings/today for updates). The possible impacts of this are:
- Heat stress, especially for the more vulnerable of the population
- High Solar UV index
- Risk of water related incidents
We ask that supporters coming to games wear adequate protection from the sun along with sunscreen and ensure that they have enough water to drink to stay hydrated.
