Below are the motions debated at tonight’s county board meeting and the decisions made.
- That the All County Leagues be organised based on groups the same as championship (12 Teams per League) but with each team playing only those teams, in the league section in the opposite group of the championship. (In effect any team doesn’t play a team in the league section that they are due to play in the Championship). Top two teams to play in finals. – Motion Carried. More details: One 12 team group, made up of the two championship groups (Group A & B) of six teams, with each team playing the teams in opposite group of the championship. Meaning that teams will not play their championship (group) opponents in the All County league group games, but will still play all 11 other teams in their grade over the course of the year (6 in All Co League and remaining 5 in Ch’ship group stages). The top two teams progress to the final.
- That Under 21 Hurling Championship start on St.Patrick’s weekend and played to a conclusion on a knockout basis. – Motion Carried.
- That Under 21 Football start first weekend of September or earlier at the discretion of the CCC Committee and played to a conclusion on a knockout basis. – Motion Carried.
- Two teams be relegated from Junior Hurling if required to form two groups of six for the following years Championship. – Motion Carried.
- Two teams be relegated from Junior A Hurling if required to form two groups of six in the following years Championship. Motion Carried
- Open Draw for all Championships – Motion Rejected. [status quo to remain]
