Wexford get their 3rd win of their Allianz Football League after a 1 point win over visitors to Innovate Wexford Park Limerick, Eoghan Nolan opened Wexford account with the first 2 points I from a 45 and 2nd came from play and limerick responding with their opener followed by 3 Wexford points 2 from Jonathan Bealin and 1 from Kevin O Grady which pushed the home side into an early 5 point lead, Wexford led 0-10 to 0-05 at the break, Conor Devitt with 2, Eoghan Nolan converting another 45, and Niall Hughes with 1 from play.
On form Conor Devitt continued Wexford Footballers winning ways after the break with a point which Limerick quickly answered with 3 on the trot and reduced Wexford lead by 3, 0-11 to 8 points. This was followed by Wexford stopping a Limerick comeback with 2 superb points from Wexford’s no 11 Jonathan Bealin and 1 from Devitt putting Wexford ahead by 6.
Limerick brought it back to 5 and with 10 minutes remaining they found the Wexford net and brought a 2 point gap between the teams. Limerick were the last to add to the score board which resulted in a 1 point win for Wexford who now make the long trip to Derry next weekend for the last game of the league and then preparations begin for the opening Championship clash with Louth on Sunday 12th May in Innovate Wexford Park. #SupportWexfordFootballers
