The Allianz Rackard League competitions have been making excellent progress since the beginning of term and all competitions are now at knock out stages.
In Boys Football Allianz Roinn A, with one round of games left, the semi finalists have been decided but this week’s round with decide the finishing order. Holders Gorey CBS have again been the form team winning all their matches so far but this week will face Rathangan and Piercestown who have also made it through the last four. St.Aidan’ have also qualified for semi finals in what has been a well contested division.
Allianz Roinn B is made up of three groups. Bunclody and Wexford CBS have emerged as joint table toppers in group one with some impressive displays. Glynn and Kennedy Park have been the form teams in group 2 but Crossabeg could still have a say in this group, while Kilmore and Adamstown have dominated the third group and look set to qualify for the knock out stages. This week’s round of matches will again decide the order of the two semi finalists and four quarter finalists.
Allianz Roinn C Ballygarret will face fancied Kilrush after coming through a teak tough battle with Ballyfad in the Gorey District. Bree have been showing well in the Enniscorthy District and will face Ballindaggin in the final. With one round of matches left it is all to play for in the Wexford District with Rosslare, Blackwater and Scoil Carman all in the shake up for the final positions. Horeswood and Tintern have made it through to the New Ross District final after impressing throughout the campaign to date.
In the Allianz Girls Football competition Roinn A is down to the knock out stages. In group 1 Kilmore finished top, while Castlebridge edged out rivals Piercestown to claim second place. Bree have dominated group 2 and it looks like they will be joined by Glynn in the semis.
Allianz Roinn B is also down to the semi finals. Mercy Wexford topped their group and will meet Bannow who pipped Castletown in the quarter final. The other semi final will see group 2 winners meet the winners of the other quarter final where Adamstown take on Crossabeg.
In Allianz Roinn C a number of the Districts have been decided. Craanford were too strong for Kilmuckridge in Gorey while St.Senan’s claimed their first ever District title when they saw off a gallant Oylgate side last Friday in Bree. Ramsgrange will take on St.Aidan’s in the New Ross District final. Blackwater overcame a hard working Our Lady’s Island team in the Wexford District to progress to the semi finals where they will meet the winners of the Ross final. St.Senan’s will meet Craanford in the other semi final.
