Wexford ladies football side are beginning their preparations for the TG4 All ireland Ladies junior football final after yesterdays dramatic extra time victory over Louth in Clane on a 0-15 to 1-08 score line.
Louth looked set for victory with seconds remaining in normal time until substitute Rosie Lawlor curled over a fantastic equaliser to send the game into extra time.
Wexford’s superior fitness was key in extra time as Chantelle Martin pointed twice in the first period as Wexford led by 0-12 to 1-7.
In the second period of extra time they continued to push forward with Ali Evered, Leona Tector and Clara Donnelly insuring the side managed by her father Billy Donnelly will play Offaly in the Junior All Ireland final in Croke Park on September 29th.
