Wexford GAA are delighted to welcome AIB as sponsors of the Wexford Combined Schools Hurling team.
Speaking of the sponsorship, County Chairman Diarmuid Devereux, warmly welcomed the sponsorship and thanked AIB for their support for this new initiative of the Post Primary Schools Committee and Wexford GAA.
‘Fifteen schools in the county are eligible for the Combined Schools Team and this links well with AIB who operate around the county – their support is a gesture is one that everyone in Wexford GAA welcomes’. (end quote)
Wexford Combined Schools has players from post primary schools in Wexford and Enniscorthy CBS, New Ross, Bridgetown and Enniscorthy Vocational Colleges, FCJ Bunclody and Gorey Community School.
The Combined Schools model is aimed at providing young hurlers with the opportunity to play in the Leinster Schools Senior Hurling ‘A’ championship and over the past few months the players and management have put in a lot of work.
