The grande finale of the 2011 WFC Senior Football championship will take place in Wexford Park on Sunday next 16th Oct. Co. Champions Castletown take on Horeswood, the 2000 champions in the decider which will commence at 3.15 pm. This game will be preceeded by the Divison 1 Minor Football between Fethard and Shelmaliers at 1.15. All four clubs are expected to put in a huge performance in an effort to bring back the Cup to their parish on Sunday evening.
During the interval of the Senior game the Duffry Rovers “Seven in a Row” Senior footballers will be honoured for their historic wins 1986 to 1992. Congraulatins to all concerned.
On Saturday 15th Oct. we have the FBD Intermediate Hurling Final with Adamstown taking on Duffry Rovers. Again, this game is expected to draw a huge crowd to Wexford Park with the game getting underway at 3.30. This game is preceeded by the Junior D Football Final between Crossabeg-Ballymurn and St. James’.
Meanwhile in St. Patrick’s Park, Enniscorthy the Junior C Football Final between St. Anne’s and Buffers Alley will be played at 4pm.
