Ferrybank Motors have become the latest Wexford business to come onboard as sponsors to Wexford GAA providing a brand new Opel to Wexford senior hurling manager Liam Dunne.
The link up, brokered by Club Wexford Chairman Tom Doyle, also sees Tony Doyle of Creane & Creane Insurance Brokers providing the insurance cover for the vehicle.
Wexford County Chairman, Diarmuid Devereux speaking at the presentation of the car said about the deal that, ‘it shows the great support that exists in Wexford for the GAA that two progressive local companies are willing to sponsor Gaelic Games even in these difficult times for business.’ He added that he hoped that Wexford GAA people would in turn support all our sponsors who make it possible for Wexford to compete at the top level.
Speaking at the presentation, Wendy O’Rourke Dealer Principal at Ferrybank Motors said, ‘We are delighted and proud to continue our long association with Wexford GAA with the appointment of Liam Dunne, Wexford senior hurling manager as ‘Ambassador for Ferrybank Motors’. This ties in nicely with our ‘Kit for Clubs’ scheme which provides support to players, fans and volunteers at all levels of the GAA and of course, Opel’s sponsorship of the GAA GPA All-Stars Awards.”
